Use the Assembly Window to disassemble items for materials. To disassemble an item, place it in the Item slot, at the bottom of the window. Press Y to open the Assembly Window.

If the item can be disassembled, the DISASSEMBLE button will turn green and the resulting materials will appear in the grid. Click DISASSEMBLE to complete the disassembly.
