Software like Daemon Tools, software updaters, search toolbars and peer-to-peer downloaders should be closed while playing. Ultimately, you may need to contact your ISP, particularly if your connection problems are worse during primetime hours for your region.

These can be blocked in your router, firewall, or at your ISP or University.

If you are still experiencing issues please contact our technical support with your region and ISP. They may not be able to immediately resolve the latency issues but the information you provide will allow us to identify possible issues limited to specific ISPs or regions.
Note: In-game latency, or "lag” is something that our developers are always working to alleviate. Unfortunately, latency can made worse by a number of factors, some of them beyond the control of developers and support staff.
