I’m missing elements of my UI!

This type of issue is usually caused during the patching process. Anti-Virus or firewall software can sometimes prevent data from being received or written to files. The fix for this is fairly easy to try yourself: 

 

  1. Disable your anti-virus software.
  2. Delete your Gui folder (located in your install folder: The Secret World\Data\Gui).
  3. Start the game from PatcherSetup.exe (not your desktop shortcut or ClientPatcher.exe).
  4. Allow the patching process to complete.
  5. Re-enable your anti-virus software.
  6. Relaunch the game.
