Ability Points (AP) are used to gain new active and passive abilities via the Ability Wheel. A greater variety of abilities will make your character more versatile and powerful. You gain 1 AP for each 1/3 of the XP bar you fill.

Press N to open the Ability Wheel window. From this window you can view, purchase or equip abilities. The wheel is divided into inner and outer wheels, with each weapon having two cells on the inner wheel and six cells on the outer wheel.

Each cell contains seven abilities that are unlocked in sequential order, ending with a powerful Elite Ability. Outer wheel cells for each weapon are unlocked by completing their corresponding inner wheel cells . With enough AP, a character can complete the entire ability wheel!
