The power and stats of your weapons are applied slightly differently than those from your talismans. Unlike talisman stats, which are always in effect, only the stats from the weapon you are currently wielding are applied. For example, if you have a blade and a chaos magic focus equipped, your blade stats will only apply to your blade abilities, and your chaos focus stats will only apply to your chaos abilities, etc.
